I met Nancy at the Bozeman post office!  Many of you Bozeman residents might recognize this bride as your friendly post master if you occasionally go to send a package or pick up some stamps.  As I was going through the line, she recognized my name from my mail and as there happened to be no one behind me in line, I got to hear her story.  Nancy and John were high school sweethearts.  They met cruising the drag in Billings in the 70's and both fell fast and hard.  They fell in love, but being young, used the code "1, 4, 3" symbolizing the number of letters in the words "I Love You"  to express their love on the phone where their parents were around.  Such as: "I must have 143 hours of homework tonight!"  After high school, John joined the military and for a time lost touch with Nancy.  When he returned home, he was devastated to learn she had just married.  Their lives went on separately.  Forty years down later, circumstances changed and John and Nancy found each other and reconnected!  They both felt so ready to be finally married.  They chose June 3rd as  their wedding date being Nancy's parents 70th anniversary.  In the months before the wedding, Nancy received a cancer diagnosis, but with John at her side, they have powered through, and everyone's spirits were soaring high for their wedding day.  Nancy's daughter Amy flew in to help celebrate and stand up for the happy couple.  Nancy and John,  it was an absolute pleasure being your photographer for your wedding.  I am so glad to have met you both and am so excited for you to beautiful people to finally be together!
